Advertorial notice

modularcurrent.com is an advertising page operated by Modular Current Inc. It contains paid placements, and Modular Current Inc. may receive compensation when a reader installs an App through a link published here. This is not independent journalism, and the presence of a product on this site reflects a commercial relationship as well as editorial judgement.

General information only

Everything published here is general information about how consumer web browsers behave. It is not legal advice, not security advice, and not a professional assessment of any particular device or network. You are responsible for the changes you make to your own settings, and you should review any product's own documentation, terms and privacy policy before installing it.

Accuracy and versions

Browser menus, defaults and permission behaviour change between releases and differ across desktop and mobile builds. Paths described on this site were accurate for current desktop releases at the time of writing. We do not warrant that any description remains accurate after a vendor updates their product, and we update pages when we learn of a change.

No outcome promised

No setting and no extension removes every interruption or every tracker from the web. Nothing on this site should be read as a guarantee of a particular result, a level of privacy, or protection against any specific threat. Where we describe what usually changes after an audit, that is a general expectation and not a promise.

Third-party links and trademarks

Links to third-party sites are provided for convenience. Modular Current Inc. does not control those sites and is not responsible for their content, pricing, availability or handling of your data.
